There’s this really fun little window between “Will you marry me?” and “I do” that deserves to be remembered, too.

I love engagement sessions because there’s nowhere else you need to be and nothing you need to accomplish. No wedding-day timeline, no guests waiting, no pressure to get to the next thing. It’s just the two of you, hanging out, probably laughing at me asking you to do something that feels slightly ridiculous—and getting to soak in the fact that you’re about to marry your favorite person.

And selfishly? I love getting to witness people who are this excited about each other. You’ll have the wedding photos forever. But I think there’s something pretty special about remembering who you were right before you became us in a whole new way.
